Sobre esta obra

Community Activation from its Resources (ACR) can be defined as a method that seeks to strengthen or build community capacities by connecting existing resources, developing the potential of people as promoters of the recovery of community trust and change and stake. The activation process is divided into two large stages: Learning from the Community and Community Activation. The first stage, lasting approximately three to four months, is in turn subdivided into five: initial exploration, documentation of community resources, survey on community support networks, interviews with RGAC leaders (support networks, groups, associations and committees) and community institutions. From this stage there are several important results, among which the community resources map, the community relations map and the selection of groups to work in the community activation stage stand out. With this community group or groups, three phases will be worked on in the activation stage, which will last between six and seven months. The first of them is about the revaluation of community history through a community festival. The second of them is to project the community vision for the future that serves as a guide to focus group attitudes and actions. Finally, through the Community Activation methodology, some activity is selected and carried out to benefit the community from its resources.
